Sisters Need A Place (SNAP)

Who We Are

SNAP (Sisters Need a Place) was formed by a group of Muslim Women to meet the economic and spiritual needs of women. Our mission is to spiritually uplift our community and work towards a greater good. We are tireless in our efforts to empower women & their families by providing a safe, culturally & religiously sensitive atmosphere in which they can grow and prosper. We are committed to spiritual enrichment, intellectual freedom, and community service opportunities for women within the cultural and religious framework of Islam. Our organization provides services to Muslim and Non-Muslim women regardless of their race or ethic background.

We work extensively with low-income, immigrants, refugees and under-served Muslim women as well as surivors of domestic abuse.

SNAP is a non-profit organization that supports the community by providing social services to women in need. We only survive on the kind and generous donations provided by people who care, like yourself.

"There has come to you from G-d a light and a luminous Book, through which G-d, by his grace guides all
who seek His good pleasure on the path of peace, and brings them out of the depths of darkness into light
and guides them onto a Straight Path." (Quran 5:15-16)
